In the whirlwind of October's four back-to-back events, RareFounders - The London Startup Scene hit a sweet note with our first-ever founders-only open mic networking brunch. It was a cozy and vibrant affair, attended by 37 entrepreneurial spirits, united by a passion for innovation and a penchant for great food. 🍽️
The brunch unfolded with a series of succinct, one-minute pitches by founders brave enough to step into the spotlight. Among them were Anshika Arora, Tim Edwards FRSA, Aleksandra M. Pedraszewska, Lucy Rout, Mike Adams, Fergus Leathem, Albert Robescu, Ignas Galvelis, and Michael K. Akimov, who all shared the essence of their business visions. 🎤✨
The interactive twist came after each pitch when I turned to the audience for their interpretations. This wasn’t about judgment; it was a constructive exercise to gauge how each pitch resonated with fresh ears. It’s one thing to know your business inside out; it’s another to communicate it effectively. 🤔💡
I even shared a personal snippet about my husband’s amusing misinterpretation of my work, highlighting just how crucial and challenging clear communication can be. It was a lighthearted moment that underscored the importance of honing our #storytelling skills. 😅
