Navigating the bustling world of startup events without a social media manager means my updates are fashionably late, but always worth the wait. Last Thursday, we celebrated the 7th edition of RareFounders - The London Startup Scene, and what a fiesta of entrepreneurship it was! 🎉
Despite coinciding with Sifted and looming tube strikes, we stuck to our guns, and I'm thrilled to report that our boldness was rewarded. 🎯 With 444 registered attendees and a bustling crowd of over 290, we hit an impressive 65% attendance rate.
This edition was not just another event; it was a testament to RareFounders' growing international allure, drawing in founders from as far afield as Australia, the USA, and Canada. It's the kind of global buzz that fuels our dreams of worldwide expansion. 🌐✈️
The star of the show was Chris Howard, a psychologist and a serial entrepreneur whose insights into the psychological nuances of fundraising left everyone enlightened. His session on investment-raising techniques was a masterclass in strategic social interactions. 💡💵
In a twist that captivated us all, Chris performed cold reads on pitch decks, including one from a friend, which he gracefully set aside upon recognition—a true display of integrity and respect.
